PORTFOLIO DEVELOPMENT

An art and design portfolio for undergraduate studies typically showcases a student's artistic and creative abilities, as well as their design thinking and problem-solving skills. The student attending The Create Studio's training program will gain valuable experience and exposure to various mediums and techniques used in art and design.

  • The Create Studio offers portfolio development services for professional practicing artists in Fine Arts, Fashion, Interior Design, Architecture, Animation, Film Making, Photography, and Graphic Design.

  • The program is modified to meet the needs of individual students and can take a minimum of 30 days or 160 hours or more, both online and in-person.

  • The services are available for students in grades 9-12 preparing for undergraduate studies and for post-graduate students.

  • The program focuses on developing strong technical skills, experimenting with different mediums, exploring concepts, showcasing one's unique voice and ideas, and documenting the creative process.

  • After a consultation with facilitators, students receive a customized guideline for their portfolio that best showcases their skills and talents.

  • The maximum works required are 20 visuals, which can include previously completed creative pieces along with process documentation.

Some examples of works that are included in their portfolio are:

1. Sketches and drawings, as well as finished art pieces showcasing strong technical skills, composition, and use of colour palettes.

2. Graphic design projects such as branding, logos, posters, or even working on designing websites, showcasing their design thinking and problem-solving abilities.

3. Three-dimensional projects such as sculptures, installations, or models showcasing their ability to envision and create physical, three-dimensional pieces.

4. Photography, showcasing their ability to capture and visually communicate stories and emotions through images.

5. Any other chosen mediums including digital art, painting, printmaking, etc.
