INTERNSHIPS

We at TCS help to provide internships with Galleries, Art NGOs, Artist & Designer Studios, Policy research, to prospective art and design students. The internship is a hands on experience that gives students an insight to the art & design and policy making world helping them learn the practicalities as well as honing their skills .

The students pursue internships that offer hands-on experience in their chosen niches. Engaging in art galleries, Craft boutiques, studios, will expose them to a wide variety of real-life projects, including group assignments, individual, and instruction-based skill-building. Job Search Programs, Career Counselling and Portfolio Development - Once the internships are completed, Create Studio will offer career counselling that will help guide the student toward a career path that aligns with their artistic passions, specialised interests, and other criteria compared to the courses offered by potential undergraduate institutions. Creating a more structured curriculum for the remaining phase of application preparation would also ensure their best chances for the best results possible.

THE INTERNSHIP OUTLINE WITH TCS

The internship program with TCS provides a wide variety of opportunities of responsibilities across different aspects of gallery management, curatorial assistance, and experiencing the workings of the world of art to our interns.

 

Gallery Space

  • Preparation of the gallery space

  • Display plan for the exhibition

  • Installing the artworks in the gallery

  • Dismantling the exhibition

  • Assist with the routine facility management

 

Administration

  • Preparing the exhibition catalog and price lists of the artworks for the show

  • Preparing the labels of the artworks and the wall text for the exhibition

  • Maintain inventory records

 

PR

  • Verbal and written communication with the artists

  • Assist the artists with creative and curatorial support

  • Obtaining artist statements from the artists

  • Assist with the reception opening

  • Engage with the visitors of the show

  • Give curatorial walk-throughs of the exhibition to the visitors

 

Research and Art Writing

  • Researching the artists and the artworks of the exhibition

  • Art historical research in relation to the show

  • Writing about the artists and the artworks for public dialogue

  • Assisting with the writing of the gallery newsletter

  • Assisting in covering the exhibition for the website

 

Design and Marketing

  • Assisting in designing the posters, catalogs, and posts for the website and social media

  • Assisting in the digital design of the newsletter

  • Upkeeping the website content

  • Creating drafts and content for the social media calendars

  • Organizing and upkeep the photograph selections for marketing and publicity

  • Managing daily posts on the website and social media
